Resum

ABSTRACT In this thesis to localize the MPP in a fast way, we don't define a fix or variable step to climb on the P-V curve, but it is define a new method . We start from two points, the first one on the left of MPP with positive slope and the other one on the right with negative slope. The next point is defined as the intermediate between the two previous ones, that is to say, that its percentage tension will be the half the sum of the previous two. If the new point slope is positive, this point will be the new point on the left while the one on the right will be the same. This has reduced the distance between the points in half. If the slope had been negative, this would have been the new point on the right while the one on the left would be the same. This process is repeated until the distance between the two points is as small as you want. In each iteration the distance between the points is reduced by half so the process converges quickly. For the estimation of the slope at any point "P" of the P-V curve the concept of centered differentiation is used, but instead of using two points three are used. In this way it is possible to estimate the slope even though the irradiance is changing. Once the MPP is reached, a permanence loop is entered where three levels of control are established based on the slope value. Whether the irradiance is stable or varies rapidly, the proposed follow-up method maintains and tracks MPP quickly. The exposed method has proved to be rapid and effective in locating and monitoring MPP.
