Resumen

Nowadays, thanks to the different perspectives that have arisen, the megalithic phenomenon has become one of the most important lines of prehistoric research, and for this reason it has diversified and grown. One of these new perspectives is the analysis of its projection over time like outstanding landscape structures. These structures were used not only by Neolithic and Calcolithic communities but also by civilizations which came after. In this article, we will analyze the permanence of the megalithic ideology in the south of Portugal, one area of particular interest for this type of studies and our objective is to underline the importance that the Megalithism had for the civilizations of II–I millennia BC in this area
