Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar una revisión sistemática sobre la relación entre las experiencias de maltrato infantil y la manifestación de Trastornos de la Conducta Alimentaria (TCA) durante la adultez. Para esta revisión se seleccionaron 15 artículos empíricos, publicados entre 2010 y 2020, donde se analiza la relación entre TCA y maltrato infantil. Esta búsqueda se realizó en PsycInfo, Scopus y Web of Science. Se encontró una asociación entre los TCA y el maltrato infantil, especialmente en el caso del abuso emocional infantil. Se observó una importante comorbilidad y pronóstico de mejora complicado. Se evidencia un cuadro complejo de psicopatología. Se identifican, por último, algunas variables implicadas (edad, género, vías de funcionamiento, adicción a la comida, autoestima, mecanismos de desregulación, estilos de afrontamiento) que requieren de mayor investigación.
