Resumen

The development of research skills is configured as one of the fundamental objectives in the courses included in the last years of the Degree in Business Administration. However, the results obtained from multiple activities carried out by the students confirm that a large majority of students have failed to develop sufficient skills to apply complex analyzes on business problems during the first courses of the degree. Fundamentally theoretical courses, such as Human resource management II (HRM II), are an effort for the student to understand their practical applicability. In this sense, these types of courses provide a particularly interesting framework so that students can learn and apply this type of skills. This project is the second part of a teaching innovation project previously developed. Its positive effects on the level of student learning and class dynamics, as well as the level of student satisfaction, allowed us to propose a second phase of the project, increasing the number of research capacities to be developed as well as introducing ICTs as a fundamental element of support in the communication of results and implications of the investigations. Specifically, this project introduces the role of ICT-microvideos-as a fundamental support tool in the acquisition and implementation of these research skills. The development and evaluation of various activities carried out in courses such as Human Resources Directorate II have yielded interesting conclusions about the difficulties students face when it comes to showing capacity for reflection, criticism and self-criticism, for solving business problems. Consequently, the exercise of reflection and criticism in these circumstances is usually limited, so that the contributions of students in activities, debates and forums often lack the maturity of a student in the last year. Therefore, the objective of this project is the development of these competences through the elaboration and presentation of research works from the base of the critical economy. In this way, various contents of the subject are applied and with special emphasis on the dissemination of its implications in the current economic-social context. In this sense, unlike the first phase of this project, the use of ICTs is introduced, through the development and projection of micro-videos for the communication of the results obtained in the research work carried out. Ultimately, through different research-related activities designed for the implementation of this project, the critical spirit of the students will be reinforced, improving their capacity, not only to analyze and understand complex problems, but also to propose innovative solutions. Additionally, it is intended to improve the communication of results and implications so that students are able, in addition to identifying key problems and propose alternative solutions, to transmit the knowledge generated and promote the debate and discussion of issues framed in human resources management field.
