Abstract
A teaching innovation has been carried out with Nursing students in the subject Gender and Health, from the Nursing degree at the University of Seville. The educational intervention has been developed in theory classes within thematic block II: Gender, Health and Care. The objective is to improve the learning process of students, through the use of Instagram as a nuclear element of teaching and other digital resources. 80 students from the 2023/2024 academic year have participated. The large group was divided into five subgroups that have created teaching accounts on Instagram. After finishing the sessions, 83% of the students have increased their knowledge. Regarding academic satisfaction in general, it has been high, 89% obtained high scores in well-being and enjoyment with teaching innovation. Two focus groups were held, which stated that they had acquired knowledge in a more attractive way. In the health sciences disciplines, teaching innovations are needed that encourage student participation in classrooms, improve their critical attitude and help improve their skills in clinical practices. It has been shown that the use of Instagram improves skills related to nursing care by integrating the gender perspective
