Senior Lecturer in Music and Music Therapy at the University of Cádiz. Dr. Sabbatella holds a Music Therapy Bachelor Degree from Universidad del Salvador, a Music Pedagogy Degree from Conservatoire, a Doctoral Degree in Education - Music Therapy from the University of Cádiz, a Master and Supervisor Degree in Benenzon Model of Music Therapy. She is a Registered Music Therapy Supervisor (Registered EMTR Supervisor -European Music Therapy Confederation). and Supervisor Spanish Music Therapist Registered (REMTA). She teaches undergraduate courses in Music Pedagogy, Music and Movement, and Music Therapy at Teacher Training Degrees in Music Education, Special Education and Primary and Postgraduates courses in Music Therapy Theory, Assessment, and Research at the Music Therapy Master of the UCA and the IPP. Past Course Director of the Joint Music Therapy Training Program offered by the University of Cádiz (UCA, Spain) and the Instituto Politécnico do Porto (IPP, Portugal) (2005-2010). She is visiting professor at Euroepan Universities under the Erasmus-Socrates Programme and at Latin American Universities under the Programa de Cooperación Interuniversitaria (AECI), and the Asociación Universitaria Iberoamericana de Postgrado (AUIP). She is a senior researcher at the University Research Group HUM-794: Music and Movement in Education and Therapy, Andalusian Research Programme (PAIDI). She is involved in research activities focused on Music Therapy and Music Education with children, teenagers, and adults. She has published scientific articles and book chapters in the fields of Music Education and Music Therapy. Associatte Professor, Universidad del Salvador, Music Therapy Training Program, Buenos Aires, Argentina (1986-1989). Member of the Commission on Ethics and Research of the World Federation of Music Therapy (1996-1999). Member of the Commission on Accreditation and Certification of the World Federation of Music Therapy (2017-2020). Chair of the Commission on Education and Training of the World Federation of Music Therapy (2007-2011). Spanish Delegate at the European Music Therapy Confederation (2007-2013). Chair of the VIII European Music Therapy Congress (Cádiz, 2010), the III Spanish National Music Therapy Congress (Cádiz, 2010), and Chair of the Scientific Committee of the VII Spanish National Music Therapy Congress (Santiago de Compostela, 2017).
