Resum
We described the case of a patient self-medicated with Valeriana officinalis L. and Passiflora incarnata L. herbal medicines, while treated with lorazepam. Handshaking, dizziness, throbbing and muscular fatigue was observed along a 32-hourprogress clinical diagnosis. Due to the increase in the use of herbal remedies, Primary Health Care teams may ask on the habit of consuming these remedies while taking personal history and anamnesis. Multidisciplinary teams including ethnopharmacologists should be created in order to improve the medical praxis.
