Abstract

They gather traditional remedies based on the use of earthworms own Spanish folk medicine and are compared with those included in representative historical sources. For this it has been conducted a literature overview. The folk medicine remedies are aimed at the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, skin and subcutaneous tissue, respiratory system and certain infectious and parasitic diseases, while in previous historical periods was larger number of diseases treated. These remedies represent a strategy to tackle the disease in very different cultures and societies
