Resum
"Agnitio" is a Latin poem by Benito Arias Montano showing, in moralizing tone, maxims of Christian piety from religious festivals in the Jewish calendar as they are recreated in the fifth book of Secula and from the evolution of mankind through the night of the times stated in the previous four books. In this work the first modern edition of this poem is presented. It is also analyzed as a product of the most practiced mystical tendency in the Spanish spirituality of the sixteenth century.
