Abstract

Faced to the closed questions, the use of open-end questions in the questionnaires show the problem of difficulty in the analysis of data. Generally, the analysis is based on postcodification process, wich imply an important cost on time and effort. It will also suppose a reduction of information and it could be affected by the analyst subjectivity. As alternative, we show the calculation of lexical specifications. It is a technique included in the context of the textual statistics, jor processing answers to open-end questions in a fast and effective way. We apply this method to the analysis of the data obtained trough a questionnaire in which an open-end question follow-up to closed questions.
