Abstract
In order to study and determinate the nature of these organic remains the Gas Chromatography together with the Mass Spectrometry have been selected in this work (Characterization of resins in roman amphorae by Gas Chromatography. Archaeological results and its use in Spain). We try to make a summary of the results obtained of the study of the resins fixed to the inner wall of roman transport amphorae. In the first place the results obtained by different European researchers in this work-line are shown. We also include the progresses acquired in the study of some roman amphorae from imperial times coming from different archaeological contexts of South Spain.
