Abstract
At the end of the 15th century the vineyard had considerable weight in Jerez de la Frontera. The poorest peasants sought land purchase and the planting of vineyards in Mesa de Bolaños and Lomo Pardo, in the Jerez de la Frontera area. From a survey conducted in 1505, we analyze this problem taking into consideration the arguments of those opposed to the transformation of the landscapes of Mesa de Bolaños and Lomo Pardo defending the maintenance of forestry and pastoral activities.
