Resumen

New outcrops along the A-92 highway allow the study of a Middle Jurassic succession of resedimented pelagic sediments associated with radiolarites. Slumped and slided blocks of marly red nodular limestone, grey micritic limestone, cherty limestone are included in pebbly mudstones and breccias showing evidence of soft deformation and mass transport along a submarine slope generated during the Bajocian in the Median Subbetic trough. Similar coeval deposits are also present in other Subbetic domains, demonstrating that during the Early-Middle Jurassic transition important tectonic movements affected the bottom of the Subbetic basin favouring the generation of fault scarps and submarine erosion and resedimentation.
