Abstract
There are many cases where the interpretation of criminal offenses with tech-nological elements has been, at best, problematic. The lack of reference to turn to and misun-derstanding of the meaning and operation of technolog y have distorted the ultimate aim of the criminal law. Blinded by technolog y, it has lost sight of the good protected by the law; the inter-pretation of the criminal use of bank cards is a paradigmatic case. The proposed new legal hermeneutics implies a consciousness of these limitations. The relevance of the precompression interpreter becomes a complaint about the need to remember and turn to the foundations of criminal law, whose value and validity will remain impassive by lot to change the means of commission
