Abstract

Rome soon felt the need to find means of publicity which were able to announce, in an effective way, the modifications of title occurred with respect to its main assets: the res mancipi. With this aim, and in order to grant the truthfulness of what was published, the Roman system end up putting together in one single action the transfer of the right and its publicity; in that moment, the mancipatio became a new manner to acquire property.
