Abstract

The motivations and attitudes of tourists today are enabling the development of new products and destinations available to meet the new demands of travelers. In this paper we present an investigation focusing on wine tourism, specifically the Designation of Origin Sherry. This designation focuses on a wine tour whose warehouses receive about 500,000 visitors annually. Furthermore, we present the resul ts of a field study, conducted within the wineries themselves, which has surveyed the tourists to know their motivations and perceptions. The main resul ts of this research show the high degree of satisfaction regarding tourists who have visited the winery and the interrelationship between the wine, local cuisine and the growing interest of travelers for everything related to culture wine.
