Abstract
The present article presents in a synthetic way the most important characteristics of Ibn Khaldun's political thought. Possibly, one of the most ambiguous points of his work for readers, since for centuries, the study of his work focused on his aspect of historian. However, his famous Al-Moqaddimah, covers a wide range of ideas about the state, form of government and especially the Assabiya that is the core of all his theory.
