Resum

Workplace crime is an area there has been a paucity of study/attention by Criminology. However, the complexity of the phenomenon and the social relevance of the work justifies an empirical perspective that analyses the causes of this type of crime and evaluates the criminal policy that has been developed. The interview (method), as a tool of social research, allows us to get closer to the viewpoint of those involved in the phenomenon we are trying to examine and evaluate. We contacted the trade union organisations and had an interview with the general secretary. The interviews we conducted identified several factors that make workers particularly vulnerable in the labour market. Some of the conclusions refer to the defencelessness of the working class, or the crisis of trade unionism, and how these factors exacerbate certain situations of abuse and precariousness
