Abstract

This paper is dedicated to the analysis about the figure of the Maciste. It is a character that emerged in the film Cabiria, which made the actor Bartolomeo Pagano to become one of the first stars of Italian cinema. Later, in the sixties, Maciste returned to the screens but as an imitator of the films starring Hercules.
