Abstract

The main weathering morphologies ocurring in the Alcornocales Natural Park, Cadiz, Spain are described and systematized. The forms affect extensive outcrops of Miocene Aljibe sandstone facies on quartzarenites. The variety and quality of examples of these morphologies make these outcrops excellent examples at national level thereof. This work deals with the initial systematization and documentation of the weathering forms highlighting their scientific, educational and recreational interest and thus their patrimonial potential.
