Résumé

The model that best measures the stress at work is that which relates the "demand" and "controL" The demand is determined by the demands of the work is for the worker. The control is the set of resources that the worker has to cope with the demands: education, autonomy and participation in decision-making. The prevalence of occupational stress in the Spanish working population is estimated at 5.7% (National Survey on Working Conditions, 2004) (7). We performed a descriptive cross-sectional study to determine the prevalence of stress among the staff of a local corporation. We used the following questionnaires: demographic and business partner, Labor Stress Scale (2004), Magallanes Stress Scale (1998), Professional Self-Efficacy Scale (2001). Statistical analysis performed using SPSS v12.0 for Windows. The sample was 331 workers (50.2% men and 49.8% women) with a mean age of 41.38 years (SO 8.79). The prevalence of stress among the respondents was 11.65%. As stress-related factors were the following results: lack of resources (19%), super-(16%), overhead (13%) and role ambiguity (12%) and role conflict (9%).
