Ranking de eficiencia global de las 50 mejores universidades del mundo

Abstract

This publication aims to establish a global efficiency ranking of the best 50 universities in the world. Prior to its drafting, an extensive literature review has been carried out on the different types of positioning analysis according to the degree of efficiency made in the field of higher education. The methodology used is the data envelopment analysis (DEA). In the elaboration of this research for the determination of the variables associated with the production function have been contemplated three basic purposes of current higher education. These are the result of the new scenarios and challenges that current societies face: training of professionals with a high cultural, scientific and technical level who can be professionally inserted into the productive processes of both business and social organizations; generation and transmission of scientific and technological knowledge; modernization of the national economic system improvement of business activity.
