Abstract

Freedom of speech, as a pillar of a democratic State, guarantees that society can feel free both to inform itself and to express itself and, therefore, it becomes an unquestionable right. In recent years, freedom of expression in Spain is experiencing a setback from the legislative reforms that have taken place since 2013, directly affecting cultural events with legislative measures, sometimes imprecise that resurface constraints and improper limitations of a democratic state.
