Cancer is one of the illnesses that cause more psychosocial impact at the time of the diagnosis and treatment. The needs of these patients are different according to when they are sick. We should not only cure, but also sometimes, assist the patient maintaining an adequate quality of life, and accompanying in these difficult times. The aim of this writing is to understand and share the experiences that a medical professional has lived, a nurse who is into direct contact with cancer patients, from a professional and familiar perspective that, in both cases, have also affected his working philosophy and life.
