Resumen

Given a connected graph G, a set of vertices S ⊂V(G) is a metric generator for G, if for every two distinctvertices x; y of G there is a vertex u ∈ S, such that the distancebetween x and u differs from the distance between y and u.The cardinality of the smallest possible metric generator of Gis the metric dimension of G. A search of hereditary-relatedproperties of graphs concerning metric generators and metricdimension will be outlined in this talk.
