Resumen
This article focuses on the analysis of a set of maps preserved from the Archivo General de Simancas. These drawings were used as graphic support in the Sicilian campaigns, developed between 1717 and 1720 and led by the Marquis of Lede. The intent of this study is to examine typologically all these documents, as well as to determine their role during the course of the war. Based on this, the present work aims to measure the degree of usefulness and reliability of their information, essential in the different war episodes developed on the island.
