Abstract

In recent times, the creation of academic spin-offs (ASO) has acquired a fundamental rolein economic and social development, with an increasing interest in the role they play in the transfer and commercialization of knowledge. However, these research have not gone farenough in some aspects, being the analysis of the process of internationalization of theASO little addressed until now. In this sense, the present work addresses three researchquestions that seek to fill this existing gap. First, the internationalization profile of ASOswill be studied. Secondly, the influence of the composition and the human capital of the entrepreneurial teams in the process of internationalization of the ASO will be analyzed. Finally, the relationship between the structure and composition of the ASO contact networksand their internationalization will be studied. To carry out this study, the research proposalsand the methodology to be used will be presented. Finally, the conclusions will be drawn.
