Resumen

The thesis investigates the relationship between happiness and local development from the point of view of students from Universidade Católica Dom Bosco (UCDB). The study aims to demonstrate that happiness is directly associated with the educational, social, emotional, economic, cultural, environmental development of beliefs, which enable harmonious interpersonal relationships, as well as the construction of bonds in a given territory, in which has a strong sense of belonging, despite uncertainties and social conflicts. Regarding the method itself, the analytical-synthetic method was applied, aiming as the binomial indicates, the decomposition of the theme and its possible reconciliation in terms of synthesis for understanding the subject, with the application of a questionnaire to university students, using the google forms. The theoretical foundation was given through an exhaustive bibliographic review, with discourse analysis, based on the textual structure, aiming to understand the ideological constructions present in the context, including from the responses of those surveyed. The results indicated the confirmation of the initial hypothesis of the research, that is, happiness is directly associated with educational, social, emotional, economic, cultural, financial, environmental, spiritual and family development that enable interpersonal relationships, as well as the construction of bonds. In a given territory, in which there is a strong sense of belonging, despite uncertainties and social conflicts. It is worth mentioning that, if, on the one hand, the results obtained are not subject to generalization, on the other hand, the information generated by this study opens up a range of opportunities for reflection and future studies. Indeed, local development is a process that not only translates into an increase in income and wealth, but is also related to the degree of satisfaction of human needs, among them, happiness stands out. Furthermore, it is suggested that reflection on health promotion factors and positive indicators be inserted and stimulated in the permanent training of students, teachers, professionals, health managers, with the effective aim of consolidating important movements in the field of collective health, such as such as healthy public policies, healthy cities and health surveillance
