Abstract

The aim of this study was to establish, in a sample population affected by DM2, the relationship between health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and level of physical activity with rate, frequency and times which patients were counseled for enhancing physical activity by primary care physicians. A cross sectional study was conducted and 104 participants with DM2 were included. We assessed the HRQoL, Level of physical activity and rate, frequency and times which patients were counseled by primary care physicians to practice physical activity. We observed statistical differences in HRQoL (p<0,05) physical activity (p<0,05) and motivation (p< 0,05) across the information and statistical differences in physical activity (p<0,05) in function of the use the web. Results from the study highlight the needed for increasing and improving quality of health-care counseling for increasing self-esteem as this outcome is also related with increase physical activity level as a cornstone in the manage of people with DM2.
