Zusammenfassung
Inguinal lymphadenopathy is defined by an increase in the size, number, or changes in the consistency of the lymph nodes located in the inguinal area. The onset of lymphadenopathy is a relatively frequent finding. Most cases are nonspecific and benign, but infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, and neoplasms must be ruled out. A medical history and clinical examination are essential for guiding the diagnosis. To confirm the diagnosis, we must conduct clinical and imaging tests (ultrasound, computed tomography) and, on occasion, a lymph node biopsy or puncture must be performed. Treatment is etiological and prognosis will depend on the definitive diagnosis.
