Resum

Software Engineering education claims for new learning approaches that allow adapting the traditional teaching process to the style of learning of the current generation of learners. The use of teaching/learning experiences based on gamification, serious games and simulation is an approach that allows innovating in the teaching/learning process, at the same time that incorporates more adapted learning styles and dynamics into the lectures. Bearing in mind the advantages that the use of serious games provides to the teaching/learning process, in this work we describe our experience of integrating a serious game to help learners to acquire several concepts and practices of the Software Quality course. Our experience has been conducted as a bilingual activity within the teaching innovation actions for the bilingual transformation of the Computer Engineering degree under the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) methodology. The results obtained provide positive evidence of the educational effectiveness of the serious game to teach in the concepts of software process improvement, as well as to improve and enhance different cross- curricular competencies such as the use of a second language, teamwork, and leadership.
