Abstract
The present paper will focus on everything related to organizational ambidextrousness. This concept will be studied from different perspectives and areas, whether its origin, definition, background or typology. It will also specify the importance for a company to apply this type of organizational learning, as well as the problems and tensions that it can cause. These tensions are resolved through two mechanisms, which are exploration and exploitation. In addition, several alternatives to organisational ambidextrousness will be considered. Finally, the relationship between this term and the human factor will be explained.
