Abstract

In this paper in homage to professor Pedro Luengo, we try to delimit the business audit risk concept and the various risks that define it, those risks could cause the auditor to suffer future loses. We have divided them in spite of their origin: civil responsibility, sanctions and reputation loses. We analyze the audit risk as one of the audit business risk origin. It´s related by the diligence that the auditor develops his job: how he plans the audit scope, the level of his effort and the audit resources applied in the agreement. On the other hand, we study the client business risk as the second component of the business audit risk. In front of the other risk, this risk comes from different expectations between the stakeholders and the auditor about his labor, scope and responsibility. That is known like “gap expectation”.
