Abstract

This article is a synthesis of the lines research that investigates the History of Latin America from oral sources and from film souce, since the decade of the ´90s to the present day. This research have divided it into five essential parts: the Introduction raises a brief State of the matter and contents; a second section devoted to the research on Oral history makes references to Oral history and migration, Oral history and the liberating thought that, since the progressive sectors of the Catholic Church, will have place in Nicaragua and Chile as forms of resistance to the dictatorship of Anastasio Somoza and Augusto Pinochet respectively, also tried to make socio-economic to the Oral history of the crisis were lived in the Argentina in the beginning of the 21 st century, concluded Oral history studies referring to a research it inedita, on the naval military base in the town of Rota, we have made on behalf of the Embassy of the USA in Madrid. The third section of this research refers to the New Latin American Cinema than from the mid-twentieth century to the present day it raises the identity search essential, of the essence of Latin American, against the identities “invented” by the Liberal Statate in the construction of the “State-Nation”. The fourth and fifth paragraps of this research are referred to the conclusions and bibliography.
