Abstract
This article tries to use the Latin American cinema of the second half of the twentieth century, a cinema within the new trends, which serves as a source to establish the archetypes of families that often occur in Latin America: nuclear family, extended family With links of blood and affinity, nuclear and extended single-parent family, simultaneous, and above all the strong bonds of friendship, community and neighborhood very common in the Latin American world
