Abstract

Isabel II´s reign marked the beginning of overseas foreign visits as well as the formation of the modern state, however, due to the internal instability of the time they were not promoted until the XX century. In order to analyze these public international bilateral relations an unique communication model has been created. Furthermore, a ceremonial structure has been put into practice to facilitate the comprehension and analysis of the historic evolution of these visits. The period to be studied, the period of Alfonso XIII, from 1902 to 1931, is a period when media improvement, social transformation, and the evolution of a variety of means of transport helped change the way of understanding these types of diplomatic relations.
