Posibilidades de investigación en el ámbito de la variación léxica

Abstract

The sociolinguistic study of variation has reached a much greater development of the phonetic level, rather than other levels of linguistic analysis such as the lexicon, despite the obvious usefulness of inquiring about geographical, social and contextual conditioning factors in the use of lexical alternatives in speech. The need to continue developing coordinated projects and to explore methodological tools based on new technologies is evident, since the sociolinguistic description of the lexicon would reinforce different linguistic disciplines, not only those with greater tradition such as lexicography or language teaching, but also others more recent, such as clinical linguistics or forensic linguistics.
