El Instituto Español de Estudios Estratégicos. Pensamiento crítico sobre sus fortalezas y debilidades

Resumo

The Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies (IEEE) is a think tank associated with the Ministry of Defence and committed to research and dissemination of culture on security and defence. Given its established relevance over the security space, both civilian and military, this analysis proposes a theoretical reflection on how the Institute operates in the political, social and academic scenario, as well as the implications of acknowledging certain theoretical elements, which consequently will influence the public opinion views on the risks and threats to national security and defence. Finally, some elements of the critical security studies will allow us to propose a series of weaknesses and strengths to recommend future research lines that stimulate the debate.
