Abstract

Dysgenesis syndrome is a disorder affecting sexual development associatedwith gonadal growth defect. It can affect both XX and XY individuals. Lastacademic year, four animals with reproductive disorder were received at theSmall Ruminant Veterinary Service of the Veterinary Faculty of Zaragoza(SCRUM). After a deep exploration they were diagnosed as dysgeneticsyndroms. There were cases of Morris and Swyer syndroms. Morrissyndrome is due to an insensibility to androgens, while Swyer syndrome is aSRY gene mutation. Due to the number of animals affected and its impact inthe farm, it was decided to make a more in-depth study of the case and apaternity test to remove their parents.
