Abstract
During the pandemic generated by the Covid-19 disease, it was necessary to take a series of measures restricting freedoms by most States. Spain was no exception, with the Government decreeing three different states of alarm, which remained active during the years 2020 and 2021. In this paper we will try to study the possible relationship between this type of measures and the data related to crime, since it is based on the hypothesis that these circumstances caused crime to decrease too much, focusing on the case of the province of Cádiz and studying specific crimes. It is concluded that crime decreased in general, although each type of crime behaved differently, increasing cases of gender violence as well as cybercrime.
