Abstract

Since cinematography has been invented at the end of nineteenth century, has been characterized and configured the way to develop and understand history. The main source that an historian has to study the peculiarities of a particular age is the Cinema, which is one of the main tools for it, because it is a radiograph of the age, besides, it shows how society sense this particular historical period. The main aim of my analysis will be to show how films with a specific topic —German National-Socialism— and documentary film —NO-DO— become a source for the study of Spanish society during the Franco’s regime.
