Resumen

The study is based on ESPOmar the European Interreg POCTEP project, in which several Spanish and Portuguese universities,research groups and public bodies collaborated to examine the potential of establishing a competitive regular maritime passengertransport system in the Gulf of Cádiz, in the coastal area between the provinces Huelva and Cádiz joining them by sea. This articlereports on the creation of the navigation zone in the navigation bridge simulator for the investigation of the sea line and the totaltimes with manoeuvres and berthing of the ships and their passengers. In addition, the project of a passenger ferry is carried out forsaid coastal route between the ports of Chipiona and Mazagón, with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions compared to the equivalentpublic land transport system and thus preserving the Doñana National Park, type of ship I+D, thus contributing to preserving theseas and avoiding pollution.
