Resumen

The Philinna Papyrus is a Greek papyrus with some unique features. It consists of short literary compositions in verse written by two unknown women and is a mixture of the Egyptian and Hellenic traditions. Some peculiarities of this papyrus are its early date (middle of the first-century BC), the high literary quality of its expression and dactylic hexameter, and its magical content (medicinal spells). The problem regarding its authorship is particularly striking, however, since magical papyri are always attributed to men.
