Resumen

En los últimos 30 años la investigación en empresas de alto crecimiento (EAC) ha adquirido una importancia cada vez mayor dentro del campo del emprendimiento. Por este motivo se considera necesario analizar los trabajos que han tenido un impacto más significativo en el desarrollo de la disciplina y que deben ser conocidos por todos los investigadores. La construcción de nuevos conocimientos sobre estos trabajos es importante porque proporciona legitimidad y coherencia al desarrollo futuro de la investigación. Así, este trabajo identifica y caracteriza los artículos clásicos en el campo del emprendimiento de alto crecimiento. Para identificar estos artículos se utiliza el método H-Classics. Posteriormente se analizan varios aspectos bibliométricos de esta colección de artículos, como el foros de revista donde se han publicado, los autores más productivos, los patrones de colaboración y un análisis de la estructura conceptual a través del análisis de co-palabras. Para complementar esta visión se realiza un exhaustivo análisis de contenido, identificando los objetivos propuestos, metodologías, tipos de datos, técnicas de análisis utilizadas y sus principales aportes en tres períodos consecutivos. Los resultados son de interés para los investigadores de las empresas de alto crecimiento porque permiten comprender las bases sobre las que se ha construido esta disciplina a través de sus clásicos y determinar sus principales retos para el futuro.
