Abstract

The theme of this proposal is framed in the following line described: literature as a means of access to language and culture in Spanish/Foreign Language (ELE), although it could be used in other types of academic contexts with ELE learnersor with foreign students enrolled in courses offered by Spanish universities. It deals with the creation of a didactic proposal around a story of a Nobel Prize winner in a discipline in the health area, as is the case of Santiago Ramón y Cajal. Cajal's interdisciplinary desire, an author who does not have a significant gap in the history of literature, inspires this didactic contribution, which is intertwined with a way of seeing writing as a way of expressing a cultural legacy.
