Abstract

For a long time, laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques have been introduced in the inguinal hernia repair. Lots of authors defend these approaches, instead of conventional open repair, although there are also slanderers of their standardized use, basically for their high costs, longer surgical time and obligation of general anesthesia. We present a brief general view of more relevant issues of TAPP technique, step by step description and controversial concerns.
