Résumé

This article presents the results of the first three phases (out of six) of a project to be developed during two school years in Universidad de Cadiz. This project aims at designing an instrument for the assessment and, particularly, self-assessment of learning results and competences within the European Space for Higher Education. Up to this point, the variables to be included in the inventory have been explored and selected, and the indicators, questions and answers to be included have been selected and grouped by dimensions. The first version of the instrument has been used during a four-month period by 545 students, both from Campo de Gibraltar and Bahía de Cadiz areas (69% female and 21% male) who followed 8 different courses in 3 different graduate studies. The results include a positive appraisal from both students and professors, although some questions are still to be solved regarding the importance of several items, the application procedure and the amount of time that is required to fulfill the questionnaire, as well as some comments regarding some confusing items that should be reworded.
