Abstract

The aim of this work was to test the role of thought action fusion belief in obsessive compulsive and generalized anxiety disorders. 88 subjects (22 men and 66 women) aged between 15 to 61 years, were grouped into four group: 1, control group; 2: clinical group: patient diagnosed with anxiety disorders; (n=29). This group was divided into two new subgroups; group 3: patient diagnosed with OCD (n=14); and, group 4: patient with GAD (n=15). All subjets were assessed in the degree of thought fusion action believes; obssesisve compulsives symthoms and the degree of general worries. Results show that thought action fusion likelihood-self does discriminate between subjects with and without anxiety disorders. Do no discriminate between subjects with OCD and GAD, although is able to discriminate between subjects with and without obsessive symptoms. Thought action fusion-moral was shown independently the group subjects belonged.
