Abstract
The objective of the present study was to know how people with HIV diagnosis and the prevalenceof hypoactive sexual desire live through sexuality, through a quantitative investigation with a clinical group (HIV+) and a control group (HIV-). A total sample of 170 people was collected, with a mean age of 35.37 years. The instruments used were an ad hoc questionnaire to collect sociodemographic data, and the EROS and DESEA questionnaires. The results indicate higher levels of desire and aversion in HIV+ people than in HIV-. Only statistically significant differences are observed regarding erotophilia in the transmission pathways. In conclusion, there are higher levels of erotophilia in people who have contracted the infection by the sexual way, as well as in the aversion scale, the highest average is in the people who have been diagnosed for more than 10 years.
