Resumen

In the digital era in which we find ourselves, where students are considered digital natives, an education in digital skills is essential, through which students can make a critical and safe use of the technologies of the information society for work, leisure, and communication. Within the set of digital competences defined in the European framework, DigComp, there is the creation of digital content through programming and training in computational thinking skills so that students can formulate and solve everyday problems using the fundamental concepts of computer programming. In this work, a tool is presented, in the form of a serious digital game, based on the mechanics and dynamics of escape room and that makes use of visual programming by blocks to promote the development of computational thinking through programming. The first evaluation experience carried out with high school students offers positive evidence of the attractiveness and quality of the serious game as an educational resource in terms of user experience.
